TimeBack is Bliss' defining feature.
Every time you swipe your Bliss debit card, whether it’s paying for one of your goals, a cup of coffee, or even a utility bill, a percentage of the transaction cost (≈0.5%) goes back into your Savings Pocket. Bliss will then send you a push notification letting you know how many minutes, hours, or days closer you are to achieving a savings goal. Nifty, right?
TimeBack is a form of cashback with an added calculation to contextualize your savings goals. In other words, every Bliss transaction works toward your goals, not just the savings contributions. Lunch with friends? You just got closer to that new outfit on your wishlist. Trip to the gas station? You just shaved off some time waiting for the new gaming console.
We don’t have to imagine a world where paying a parking ticket or utility bill actually feels exciting – with TimeBack, it’s already here.
TimeBack works by referencing the previous month’s savings allocations and using that to estimate when you’ll achieve a savings goal. The feature then takes that calculation and applies it to the cashback reward you earn with your Bliss Debit Card to show you an approximate measurement of time you've gotten closer to your savings goal based on your current savings velocity.
TimeBack is designed to make spending more satisfying and keep your most vital savings goal top of mind and closer to reach.
TimeBack will automatically activate when these three conditions are met:
1 - You have a Bliss Debit Card
2 - You have an Up Next Savings Goal Set
3- You have made a contribution to your Saving's Pocket in the last 30 days.
TimeBack appears on your home screen and can be taped on to learn more about the total TimeBack you've rewarded, the cash value of the TimeBack Rewards, and the algorithm that calculates TimeBack.
If you aren't using Bliss' Savings Pocket or Goal setting feature, you will still earn cash back on every swipe, dip, tap, or type of your Bliss Debit Card. You'll still get a push notification for the transaction with the cashback earnings, but it won't include the TimeBack calculation.
